Looking for V-Nails

SPFG, Supreme Picture Framing God
This belongs to one of my suppliers, who is looking for a North American source for v-nails. They have a shipment coming from Italy, but have no idea when they will arrive.

Anyone?

It's a Pilm but it looks like an Alfa/ AMP/ ITW/ Mitre Mite now Fletcher knockoff.

He might try Steve at this company in the US...
I have worked with Steve a number of times over the years.
He's also on the Grumble.

Ted, It sort of looks like but I don't think that it is a Pilm. I really don't know what brand it is but as Neil said Steve may have the answer. Most of the Italian made underpinners do use the same nail, some are in a cartridge and some are loose like the ITW Amp style. I believe that the ITW Amp V nail would probably work, he should try a line from someone that carries that type if nail and see if it fits. Just a thought.

If you Google Jumbo Joint vnailer it also comes up as a Pilm.

Darn, Neil, you are good :):):):):) Since it is Pilm the ITW Amp Vnails should work, or they did for me on a much older Pilm I bought with a shop closing.

Here's the machine on the pilm web site. If you can get someone to do the conversion to whatever number it was when Fletcher -Terry was painting them green and selling them under their name, you could resource the V-nails. I have the Fletcher 5700 which is the same model but with two vertical clamps.

Actually, you could call Fletcher-Terry and ask them where to resource the v-nails. I get minr through a distributor in S Fla. called Complete Framers Supply. The V-nails are made by Gielle.

There are Gielle ones shown, also Pilm, in the link posted for Aim Enterprises.

I haven't used those vnails..
We have Cassese vnailers so the vnails are different.

I have an older AMP VN2+1. I like the generic V-nails sold by DECOR. They never jam, which was a problem with the "genuine" AMP v-nails. I used to get them from V-Nails.com, but after they closed I tried the DECOR ones, and have never had any problems. Item #621 is what I use on almost all mouldings.

Talk about funny! I had a red box of Cassesse Masters that did not work in my VN 4, so I asked them to see if they would work.

They did.

Holy Cow!
